Our second Australia Day and this time we went BIG!

Melbourne’s beautiful sunny day brought in a record number of participants with over 4,000 people marching, including our very own Mascot JOEY.

Soccer Time Kids randomly invited 40 members of our program to march in the parade from the corner of Bourke and Swanston St, down Swanston past the Melbourne Town Hall, past Federation Square, over the Yarra River and into the Kings Domain Gardens to our stall. All our little marches received a fantastic show bag full of goodies for there efforts.

It was a sea of green and gold with our little soccer stars being hoisted on shoulders, waving flags, posing for the cameras and celebrating on the iconic day in Australia’s History.

At our stall we had plenty of coaches on hand to chat with parents as well as kick the ball around with the kids. We also had the only jumping castle on the day and two inflatable soccer pitches with plenty of balls to go round.  We had free balloons and flags for kids and deals for parents including discounted soccer balls.
